Seniors and alumni of Worcester, Massachusetts public high schools can earn $5,000 scholarships plus paid internship opportunities at AbbVie Bioresearch Center from the AbbVie Community Equity Scholarship program.

Applicants must be current seniors or graduates of Worcester’s 13 public high schools who have been accepted into full-time undergraduate study for the upcaoming academic year, and who are first-generation college students that identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino or American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander. In addition, applicants must have registered or plan to register for two or more STEM related courses in the upcoming academic year.

Two awards of $5,000 each are available, and financial need will be considered.

The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship program is providing 400 high school seniors with an opportunity to upgrade their careers with a scholarship of up to $40,000 scholarship, plus internship opportunities at Amazon!

To apply, you must be a high school senior planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, or other computer science related field of study. You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or university (or an accredited 2-year college, with the intent to transfer to a 4-year institution).

Applicants must have completed, or be currently enrolled in, a high school or college dual degree course where computer science, engineering or robotics is the subject. (Students who have not taken this course can opt-in to take an assessment offered by Amazon.)

Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship recipients will earn a renewable scholarship up to $10,000 at an accredited four-year college or university(*), as well as internship opportunities at Amazon.

(*Recipients at two-year schools will receive up to $5,000/year for up to two years until transferring to a four-year school, and up to $10,000/year for up to two following years.)

The American Water Inclusion and Diversity Scholarship program is awarding up to ten renewable awards of $10,000 each to students in the 24 states where American Water operates.

Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates, or current college undergraduates, residing and/or attending college in an eligible state, and must self-identify as a member of at least one of the following traditionally underrepresented groups:

• American Indian or Alaska Native 
• Asian 
• Black or African American 
• Hispanic or Latino 
• Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander 
• Female (any race or ethnicity)

Applicants must also be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study, pursuing a certificate or degree in a non-medical STEM or business-related field, at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards are renewable up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and full-time enrollment in an eligible major.

AMETEK Foundation, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist residents of China, Serbia, the United Kingdom and the European Union (EU) who plan to continue their education in a STEM field.

Applicants must be residents of the European Union (EU) or the United Kingdom to apply for the scholarships offered in France and in the United Kingdom OR be residents of Serbia to apply for scholarships offered in Serbia, OR be residents of China to apply for the scholarship offered in China.

All applicants must be in their final year of upper or higher secondary school or be current technical or university level students, and planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at one of the following universities for the entire upcoming academic year:

• Shanghai University, Shanghai, China
• INSA, Lyon, France
• University of Leicester, Leicester, England
• Loughborough University, Leicestershire, UK
• University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Economics, Novi Sad, Serbia
• Subotica Tech – College of Applied Sciences, Subotica, Serbia

Awards ranging from $500 to $5,000 (USD) are available for students majoring in STEM fields including Science (Physics or Chemistry), Technology (Computer Software Engineer, Information Security Specialist, Information Technology, or Database Administrator), Engineering or Mathematics. Study in any medical field is not eligible.

Will your college education help you make history? Are you attending Bowie State University (MD), the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Florida International University, California State University–Sacramento or Tennessee State University? If so, you may be eligible to apply for a $2,500 award from Ancestry’s HistoryMakers Scholarship program.

Applicants must be current undergraduate or graduate students at one of the five HistoryMakers selected universities, must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Eligible applicants must also be planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study in the fall 2024 semester through spring 2025 semester. All majors are invited to apply; preference will be given to applicants pursuing Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Life Sciences, Marketing, Economics, Business Management, Cybersecurity, User Experience, Finance or Business.

Born in Norway, Andreas Heiberg came to the United States in the 1960s as a bright, young mechanical engineering graduate. He became involved in logistics planning and quickly became a respected name in polar research and exploration; after he passed away in 2021, his family established the Andreas Heiberg Scholarship to celebrate his life and enthusiasm for learning.

In honor of Andreas’s adopted home and passion for practical knowledge, the Andreas Heiberg Scholarship provides $3,000 awards for up to 15 students in Washington pursuing degrees in non-medical STEM fields.

Applicants must be high school seniors, graduates or current college undergraduates who reside in Washington and have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). Applicants must also plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study in an eligible field at an accredited four-year college or university in the state of Washington for the entire upcoming academic year.

Students of Armenian descent in the Greater Boston metropolitan area* can earn one of 20 awards from the Arisdine Krikorian Scholarship Program.

Applicants must be current high school seniors, undergraduates, or graduate level students of Armenian descent, planning to enroll in full-time study an accredited two- or four-year college/university in the Greater Boston, MA metropolitan area for the entire upcoming academic year. Applicants must also have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Award amounts are dependent on the number of eligible applicants, and could range up to a maximum of $5,000. Funds may be used for qualified education-related expenses (tuition, fees, books, and required supplies) only, and recipients may reapply to the program each cycle they meet eligibility requirements.

*Greater Boston is defined as Norfolk, Suffolk, Plymouth, Middlesex, and Essex counties in Massachusetts, plus Rockingham and Strafford counties in New Hampshire.

High school seniors in Boulder County, Colorado who plan to pursue a certification or associate’s degree in healthcare, engineering or advanced manufacturing can earn awards up to $5,000 from the Bates Scholarship for the Advancement of Career and Technical Education.

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) and must plan to enroll full-time at a two-year community college or vocational-technical/trade school within the state of Colorado for the entire upcoming academic year. Up to six scholarships are available, and financial need will be considered. Award amount is dependent on the cost of the program.

The BIM Scholarship is open to high school seniors, high school graduates or current college undergraduates who live in Minnesota and plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities for the entire upcoming academic year.

Applicants in all fields of study are invited to apply, and must self-identify as American Indian or Alaska Native, Black, African, or African American, Hispanic or Latino, or Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander.

Up to 20 BIM Scholarships of $5,000 each will be awarded. 

The Brave of Heart Scholarship supports the children (age 26 and under), spouses or domestic partners of frontline health care workers who lost their lives to COVID-related causes.

Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents who plan to enroll, full-time or part-time, in undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the upcoming academic year. Applicants must also have a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent. The Brave of Heart Scholarship is not a competitive program; all eligible applicants will receive funds. Non-traditional students, students in study-abroad programs and individuals returning to college after time off are encouraged to apply, even if they do not have a recent GPA.

Award amounts range from $5,000 to $25,000 per year for undergraduates, depending on financial need, area of study and type of degree a person is seeking. (Graduate students may qualify for awards up to $50,000/year.) Applicants can receive the award a maximum of eight terms, for four academic years, or through the 2026-27 school year, whichever occurs first.

Sponsored by global law firm DLA Piper, the Building Relationships to Advance Veterans’ Opportunities (BRAVO) scholarship program is providing up to 20 scholarships of $6,000 each to U.S. military veterans interested in pursuing a legal degree.

Applicants must be honorably discharged veterans of the United States military (including the Reserves and National Guard), who have received a Certificate of Eligibility from the Department of Veterans Affairs or DD214 or another document of service stating “Honorable Discharge” by the program application deadline date.

Applicants must also be current attendees or graduates of an accredited college or university in the U.S; must have (or have graduated with) a minimum 3.2 GPA; must be 18 years old (or the age of majority in their state of residence, whichever is greater); and must be interested in pursuing a legal degree and practicing in the U.S. following law school.
