Today we’re featuring a new program for 2L and 3L law students, a scholarship opportunity that comes with a financial learning component (April is Financial Literacy Month, after all!) and a $15,000 opportunity from the CLA Foundation for students pursuing professional services careers.

Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship

If you are a 2L or 3L law student dreaming of becoming a plaintiff trial lawyer, here is your chance to get some serious support for your journey. The Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship is offering one $25,000 award and two $10,000 awards to students just like you.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a 2L or 3L law school program
  • Plan to become a plaintiff trial lawyer
  • Plan to attend an ABA-accredited law school full-time for the upcoming academic year
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who self-identifies as female
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (or equivalent)

This scholarship is a great way to get financial support while also being recognized for your dedication to law and your future career. Whether you are tackling case studies, preparing trials, or planning your next big steps, this award can help make law school a little easier.

CLA Opportunity Scholarship

In 2025, CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen LLP) created the CLA Foundation Opportunity Scholarship program to award $15,000 scholarships to students studying finance, accounting, business, and emerging professional services fields including data science and analytics, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and more.

In 2026, CLA Foundation will again award promising students with $15,000 scholarships to support them on the path to professional services careers.

“CLA is deeply committed to creating careers and opportunities in our communities, paving new pathways to the profession,” said Jen Leary, CEO of CLA. “Through the CLA Foundation Opportunity Scholarships, we are further advocating for our profession and making a difference in the lives of the next generation of professional service leaders.”

Applicants for the CLA Foundation Opportunity Scholarship program must be high school seniors, high school graduates, current college undergraduates, or graduate-level students within the United States who plan to enroll in fulltime undergraduate study or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university and graduate school for the entire upcoming academic year and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent). CLA and CLA Foundation employees and children of employees, officers, and executives are ineligible.

New York Life Golden Futures Scholarship Program

Through the New York Life Golden Futures Scholarship, teens can build practical money skills that help them prepare for their financial future while earning a shot at a $10,000 or $20,000 scholarship. A total of twenty scholarships will be awarded.

“New York Life agents and advisors have a longstanding history of working with community partners to provide students and families with financial tools, educational resources, and holistic financial guidance tailored to their needs and goals. New York Life is committed to helping students and families move through life’s major moments with financial security and peace of mind,” said Amy Hu, chief marketing officer at New York Life.

Applicants must be high school juniors or seniors who are legal residents of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia. To be eligible, applicants must complete at least 25 modules in the New York Life Golden Futures Scholarship game through the ZOGO app (available for free download from the Apple App Store or Google Play). Applicants who complete 25 or more modules can apply for $10,000 awards; those who complete 50 or more modules are eligible for $20,000 awards.

High school seniors must plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical or trade school for the 2026-27 academic year. High school juniors selected as recipients will have the award deferred for one year and must be enrolled in higher education for the 2027-28 academic year to receive the scholarship.
