Milestone has established a scholarship program for women currently enrolled a law program who plan to complete their education to become plaintiff trial lawyers.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
The Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship stands out as one of the largest single-award scholarships specifically for female law students in the United States. It provides up to $25,000 for one recipient and $10,000 each for two additional recipients annually — totaling up to $45,000 in direct support for women pursuing plaintiff trial lawyer careers.
This makes it a top-tier funding opportunity compared to many other women-focused law scholarships, which often range from $5,000 to $20,000. It is administered by Scholarship America and targets 2L and 3L students with strong academics and a commitment to advancing diversity in the plaintiff bar.
With women comprising only about 19% of the plaintiff bar (per the American Association for Justice), the Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship directly addresses this gap. It empowers recipients with substantial financial support while highlighting the role of legal technology in advancing gender diversity, client representation, and the profession.
While excellent programs exist (such as AAUW Selected Professions Fellowships at ~$20,000 or the Mike Eidson Scholarship at $5,000), the Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship frequently ranks among the highest individual cash awards dedicated to this demographic and career path.
The Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship is among the highest with awards up to $25,000 for eligible female law students pursuing plaintiff trial careers.
One $25,000 award and up to two $10,000 awards annually.
2L or 3L female-identifying students with 3.5+ GPA planning full-time ABA-accredited study and a plaintiff trial lawyer career.
