Achieve Atlanta Completion Grant Program

Achieve Atlanta has established a completion grant program to assist Achieve Atlanta Scholars who have exhausted their Achieve Atlanta Scholarship funds and will be completing their degree within the next two terms at an eligible two- or four-year college or university or vocational-technical school.

Achieve Atlanta Completion Grant Program

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Achieve Atlanta Completion Grant Program must:

  • Be an Achieve Atlanta Scholar
  • Be a current college undergraduate within one or two terms of technical, associate or bachelor degree completion*
  • Have a minimum 2.0 GPA or equivalent
  • Plan to enroll at an Achieve Atlanta-eligible institution** for FAll term**

*Students graduating fall 2026 term or spring 2027 term are eligible. Summer terms are excluded. Students graduating after May 2027 or have received two previous grants are ineligible.

Awards

Awards
Students pursuing Bachelor’s degrees are eligible to receive up to $2,500 per student per term. Students pursuing technical and Associates degrees are eligible to receive up to $750 per student per term.

Achieve Atlanta has limited completion grant funds, if application requests exceed funding available additional eligibility factors may be considered for prioritizing and awarding funds.

Awards are for the Fall 2026 term. Awards are not renewable; however, applicants may reapply each term/semester that they are eligible.

Awards for funding of a second Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is not permitted.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Completion grants are made payable to the school. Awards may be considered taxable income to the recipient. Recipients should work with a tax advisor to determine whether or not the award is taxable to them.

Notification
Applicants will be notified of decisions by email in July.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Payment of Grants
Scholarship America processes grant payments on behalf of Achieve Atlanta. Payments are made in one installment in August.

Selection of Recipients

Applicants will be approved for completion grants based on the following documentation:

  1. Transcript for confirmation of minimum 2.0 GPA or equivalent
  2. ‘Degree Works’ or other similar document* for confirmation of course registration for eligible graduation term**

*If applicant does not have appropriate documentation, they may have an advisor complete a supplemental PDF form that confirms information needed.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  1. Transcript: A current, complete transcript of grades including the most recently completed term. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted but they must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken. Please note that completion grant applicants must submit their Spring 2026 transcript. If you are awaiting your Spring 2026 grades, please submit your latest unofficial transcript, and then upload your unofficial transcript with Spring 2026 grades to your student profile at https://scholarshipamerica.org/scholarship/achieveatlanta/ as soon as they are posted. Failure to submit Spring 2026 grades may result in delays in the review of your completion grant application.
  2. Enrollment Form: A Degree Works document, or a completed Enrollment Verification Form. Document must include your expected graduation term and Fall 2026 enrollment verification. If graduation and enrollment information is not solely found on one document, multiple documents may be uploaded.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
