Walker Forge, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist dependent children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Walker Forge, Inc. Scholarship Program must:
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $500 to $3,000.
All awards are renewable up to three years or until a certificate, diploma, or undergraduate degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale), full-time enrollment, and continued parental employment. If employment is discontinued (except for retirement), the continuation of the scholarship will be subject to review.
Students who have previously received the scholarship and wish to renew will receive an email invitation to renew their scholarship in January and should not complete a new application.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Awards are for qualified education-related expenses only (tuition and academic fees).
All applicants will be notified in February.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Walker Forge, Inc. Payment is made in August.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, will be considered in determining the amount of each award. Potential recipients who do not demonstrate need (or who do not provide financial information) will be eligible to receive an honorarium at the minimum amount.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Walker Forge, Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
