US Foods, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist students pursuing a degree in the Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related disciplines.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the US Foods Scholars Program must:
Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP) employees and their dependent children are not eligible.
US Foods employees, subsidiaries, parents, affiliates, representatives, consultants, contractors, legal counsel, advertising, public relations, promotional, fulfillment, and marketing agencies, and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings, and children, regardless of where they live) and those living in the same household are not eligible.
Up to eighteen (18) Awards of $10,000 – $20,000 each will be granted.
Awards for recipients entering their final year of study will be a one-time award of $20,000.
Awards for all other recipients will be $10,000, renewable one time or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale), full-time enrollment, and continued study in an eligible major.
Awards may be used for education-related expenses including tuition, fees, books and supplies and room and board. Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Recipients will receive professional development and mentorship opportunities from US Foods. The expectation is that that recipients participate in at least one professional development opportunity.
All applicants will be notified in June.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of US Foods, Inc. Payment is made in two installments in early August and mid-December. Students receiving renewable awards will receive August payments only.

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.
Scholarship America reserves the right to request financial aid award package information, if needed.
Selection of finalists and recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of US Foods, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
