The Trustmark Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

Trustmark's Ralph J. Eckert College Scholarship Program

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to Trustmark’s Ralph J. Eckert College Scholarship must:

  • Dependent* children of full-time employees of Trustmark Services Company and affiliates (“Companies”) who have a minimum of one-year employment as of the application deadline, or part-time employees of the Companies who have a minimum of two years employment as of the application deadline. Employees must be below the level of Vice President; children of second Vice Presidents are eligible to apply.
    *A dependent child is defined as one who would qualify for membership in the Companies’ medical benefits plan.
  • High school seniors or graduates, or current undergraduate students, who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire academic year.

Awards

Up to fifteen awards of $5,000 each will be given.

Awards may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and equipment. Awards may not be used for room and board. Each recipient will be required to acknowledge the foregoing restrictions and other Program requirements relating to usage of scholarship funds by executing a Scholarship Acceptance Form.

Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, and on the basis of satisfactory academic performance of a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in May.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

On behalf of the Trustmark Foundation, Scholarship America will process payment for the Ralph J. Eckert College Scholarship awards in one installment in August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered. Selection of the scholarship recipients will be made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any employee or officer of Trustmark, its affiliated companies or the Trustmark Foundation play a part in the selection process.

In accordance with Internal Revenue Service requirements for scholarship programs provided by foundations, not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Notification will be given to non-recipients as well as recipients.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 10, 2026 by 3:00 pm Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
