The Henry Boney Memorial Scholarship Program

Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist team members and team member’s children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The Henry Boney Memorial Scholarship Program

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Henry Boney Memorial Scholarship Program award must be:

  • Full or part-time team members of Sprouts Farmers Market who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date and who have worked an average of at least 15 hours per week over the past 12 months, and are employed at the time recipients are announced.

OR

  • Dependent* children, age 25 and under, of current** full or part-time Sprouts Farmers Market team members who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date and who have worked an average of at least 15 hours per week over the past 12 months, and are employed at the time recipients are announced.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the team member’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
    **A dependent child of a deceased Sprouts team member may apply to the Program if the team member met the above criteria on the date of his or her death, so long as the team member’s dependent is eligible to apply for the Program within two years of the date of the team member’s death. Any such student will remain eligible to reapply for the Program for subsequent years in which they remain otherwise eligible.

AND

  • Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time or part-time*** undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or a vocational-technical school.
    ***Part-time enrollment includes graduation after fall semester.
  • Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Awards

The authorized distribution for new awards is $100,000. Up to 50 awards of $2,000 each will be granted. Provided there are qualified applicants, forty (40) awards will be for team members and ten (10) awards for dependents. Unused awards may be used for the other group.

Awards are not renewable; however students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in July. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC. Awards will be paid in one installment in early August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need will be considered. Recipients will be selected from a pool of qualified applicants with consideration given to those who demonstrate the greatest need.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or team member of Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than May 25, 2026 3:00 PM Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
