Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation Scholarship Honor for Achievement and Recognition Program (SHARP)

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation Scholarship Honor for Achievement and Recognition Program (SHARP)

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the The Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation Scholarship Honor for Achievement and Recognition Program (SHARP) must be:

  • Dependent* children of full-time associates of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company (U.S. and Canada) who have a minimum of one year of continuous employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • High school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

The Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation provides two types of scholarships:

  • Award amounts are $3,000 and $5,000.
  • $3,000 awards are non-renewable and $5,000 awards are renewable.
  • The top six selected applicants with the highest overall scores will each receive a $5,000 renewable award, and the remaining selected applicants will each receive a $3,000 non-renewable award.
  • Recipients attending military academies will receive a one-time Honorarium of $3,000.
  • Applicants must be undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Scholarship recipients will be determined independently by Scholarship America, a national student aid organization that manages the Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation Scholarship Honor for Achievement and Recognition Program (SHARP) on behalf of the Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation.

Awards are for undergraduate study only. Students cannot receive an award more than four years.

Per IRS guidelines, the maximum number of awards (including honorariums) cannot exceed 25% of eligible applicants.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes The Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation Scholarship Honor for Achievement and Recognition Program (SHARP) payments on behalf of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation. Payments are made in one installment in August, payable to the school and mailed to the student’s home address.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

Financial need is not considered. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
  • Only PDF, JPG, and PNG file types are allowed.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than March 19, 2026 by 3:00 pm Central Time.

You will submit contact information for your reference/recommendation, and your recommender will receive an email link with instructions to complete your reference/recommendation.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
