The Pacific Club, in partnership with the Orange County Community Foundation, has established a scholarship program to assist employees, employee spouses, employee siblings, children and grandchildren of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Pacific Club Scholarship Fund must be:
Employees must have a minimum of six months employment as of the application deadline.

Awards are renewable up to one year or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale in a part-time or full-time undergraduate course of study. Students may reapply for another renewable award. The employment eligibility requirement does not apply to previous recipients.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants will be notified in late May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Orange County Community Foundation. Payments are made in early August and are made out to the students institution and will need to be directed to their financial aid office to be included in their financial aid package.
If you are awarded and your institution is asking for your payment before the scholarship award check has arrived, please provide them a copy of the award letter to your financial aid office. As long as your school has a copy of the award letter, that is the documentation required to verify that the payment is pending and you do not need to pay out of pocket.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need must be demonstrated for the student to receive an award.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of The Pacific Club or of the Orange County Community Foundation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
