The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Osmose Pursuit of Excellence Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 26 and under, of full-time Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. employees in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands who have a minimum of one (1) year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors/students in their final year of upper or higher secondary, graduates or current college or university undergraduates.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school, or CEGEP (or equivalent) for the entire upcoming academic year.

Children of the executive leadership team are ineligible to apply.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to four (4) awards will be granted with a minimum of two (2) being designated for children of employees with a ‘Foreman’ job title or similar graded job titles, as determined by the sponsor. If there are no applicants with eligible graded job titles, the awards will be awarded to other eligible applicants, as approved by the sponsor.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continued employment of the student’s parent at Osmose Utilities Services, Inc.

Award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD). Recipients in the U.S. and Canada will receive awards in USD. Recipients outside of the U.S. and Canada may elect to receive payment in their local currency (if available).

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in July.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Payment of Scholarships

Award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD) to recipients in the U.S. and Canada. Recipients outside the U.S. and Canada may select to receive payment in their local currency (if available).

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance

  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Academic evaluation will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.

Financial need will not be considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
