Ross Stores, Inc. established the Stuart Moldaw Scholarship in 2009 to honor Stuart G. Moldaw – Ross’ founder and Chairman Emeritus – for his lifelong commitment to education. The Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance to Associates and their dependents who plan to continue their education in college, graduate school, or vocational-technical school programs.
Open Application Window: 1/15/2026 – 3/16/2026
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Students who have previously received a Stuart Moldaw Scholarship and wish to renew will receive an invitation to renew their scholarship in January 2026 and should not complete a new application.
1Good standing means a full-time or part-time Associate has not received a corrective action or performance improvement plan since September 16, 2025 if they are non-exempt (hourly) or since March 16, 2025 if exempt (salaried).
2Part-time study is a minimum of six credit hours per term, or the equivalent in Guam and Puerto Rico.
All applicants will be notified by Scholarship America if they are selected for an award or not. Scholarship America aims to send notification no later than July 31.* Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
Payment will be made in one installment, which Scholarship America intends to send in late July.* Checks are made payable to the school and either mailed to each recipient’s home address, or sent via EFT to participating schools.
*Notification and payment dates are subject to change due to unforeseeable circumstances.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
