Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist children of MGIC co-workers who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the MGIC Scholarship Program must be:
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
Children of MGIC officers and members of the MGIC Board of Directors are not eligible.
Students who have received scholarship awards from other sources which completely cover the cost of their education expenses (tuition, books, room and board) are not eligible.
Up to four (4) awards of $2,500 each will be granted.
Provided that there are qualified applicants, a minimum of one (1) recipient will be selected from eligible children of employees that work in a field office location.
Awards are one-time only and not renewable. Past recipients may not reapply.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
