Mercedes-Benz USA President’s Scholarship Fund
The Mercedes-Benz USA President’s Scholarship Fund is awarded annually and may be applied to any accredited post-high school educational program (two- and four-year colleges or universities, vocational-technical schools, and graduate schools).
Mercedes-Benz USA President’s Scholarship Fund
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Eligibility
Applicants to the Mercedes-Benz USA President’s Scholarship Fund must be:
- Dependent* children of full-time Mercedes-Benz USA employees who have a minimum of one year of employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Dependent children refers to unmarried and natural or legally adopted children or stepchildren or foster children of the employee who qualify for coverage under the terms of the company’s medical plan. - High school seniors, graduates, or current college undergraduates who plan to enroll in full-time** undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school, or graduate or professional school for the entire upcoming academic year, starting no later than Fall of 2026.
**Full-time study is defined as full-time enrollment for the entire upcoming academic year.
Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. The top two recipients will receive an award that is renewable for up to three years or until a degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance and continued parental employment. The third- and fourth-ranking recipients will receive one-time awards.
*A student may receive an award a maximum of four (4) years. A student who has received the award fewer than four times and earns a Bachelor’s degree must reapply to receive an award for graduate study.
Awards may be used for undergraduate, graduate, vocational or special training study.
Notification
All applicants will be notified in late-July.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Mercedes-Benz USA. Payment is made in September.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic record
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Mercedes-Benz USA play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Requirements
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
- NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload an official copy of those test scores separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
