I Squared R Element Co., Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist children, spouses, and domestic partners of employees who are pursuing part-time or full-time study at an accredited college, university or vocational-technical school.

I Squared R Element Co., Inc. Education Assistance Program

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the I Squared R Element Co., Inc. Education Assistance Program must:

  • Be a dependent* child, age 26 and under, or a spouse** or domestic partner*** of a full-time domestic employee who has a minimum of one (1) year of employment as of the application deadline.
    *Dependent child is defined as a biological, step- or legally adopted child living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
    **Spouse is defined as an employee’s legally recognized marital partner.
    ***Domestic partner is defined as a person with whom the employee lives and shares a close, committed, and long-term personal relationship, similar to a marriage, but without being legally married.
  • Be a high school senior, high school graduate, or current postsecondary undergraduate, who plans to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

All eligible applicants will receive an award.

Award amounts will be granted based on part-time or full-time enrollment:

  • Full-time enrollment (minimum 12 credit hours per term): $5,000
  • Part-time enrollment (minimum 6 credit hours per term): $2,500

Awards can be used for any education-related expenses. A 1099-MISC tax form will be mailed to all recipients in January.

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of I Squared R Element Co., Inc. Payment is made in late August. Payment will be payable to the school and mailed to the student’s home address.

Selection of Recipients

All applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will receive an award.

Financial need is not considered.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

    • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
      • Student name
      • School name
      • Grades
      • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
