Mike and Tami Hoffman have established a scholarship program for The Toro Company employees or their dependent children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
Mike and Tami Hoffman have established a scholarship program to assist active, full-time The Toro Company employees or their dependent children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
The following scholarship opportunity is available to dependent children of Toro Company employees. Click on the link below to learn more about the program.
Applicants to the Mike and Tami Hoffman Scholarship Program must be:
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,000 to $4,000.
Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time or part-time course of study, parent’s ongoing employment at The Toro Company, and continuation of the program by The Toro Company and Mike and Tami Hoffman.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
A student may only receive one award from any scholarship affiliated with The Toro Company.
Applicants will be notified in April. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Mike and Tami Hoffman. Payments are made in one installment in early August. Award payments to international students will be issued by wire transfer in September.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Financial need will be considered and recipient must demonstrate financial need.
Academic evaluation of international applicants will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance do Mike and Tami Hoffman or any officer or employee of The Toro Company play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Mike and Tami Hoffman reserve the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.
