Griffis Residential has established a scholarship program to assist children, grandchildren, spouses/domestic partners, or siblings of associates who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Griffis for Generations Scholarship Program must meet all of the following criteria:
Children, grandchildren, spouse/domestic partner, and siblings of Griffis Residential Vice Presidents and above are ineligible.
Awards will be granted as follows:
Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s or master’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale), full-time enrollment, and continued parental employment.
If a recipient enrolls in graduate study immediately after completing their undergraduate degree, they are eligible to renew their award.
The total maximum lifetime award amount per recipient is $40,000. If a recipient changes colleges, their award amount is subject to change.
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study.
All applicants will be notified in July.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
