Samuel A. Green Scholarship Program

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

  • Be a legal resident of the United States – including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and others lawfully residing in the country
  • Be a high school graduating senior (can be from public, private, parochial, charter schools, home-schooled students), technical school graduates and GED recipients, and be under twenty-five (25) years old as of January 11, 2027
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited not-for-profit community or four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Reside or attend school within the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley areas (specifically: Bucks County, Chester County, Delaware County, Lehigh County, Montgomery County, Northampton County, and Philadelphia County in Pennsylvania; Camden County, Gloucester County, Burlington County, and Salem County in New Jersey; New Castle County in Delaware)

Employees, officers and directors of The Daniel B. and Florence E. This exclusion also applies to anyone who may become an employee of The Daniel B. and Florence E. Green Foundation or such subsidiaries, affiliates, donors, distributors, and advertising and promotion agencies after submitting their application.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $5,000 award. Up to 18 awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree/certification is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course of study and continuation of the program by The Daniel B. and Florence E. Green Foundation.

Students who have previously received the scholarship and wish to renew will receive an email invitation to renew their scholarship in January and should not complete a new application.

Award amounts are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) and award payments will be issued in USD.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Awards are for qualified education-related expenses only (tuition, fees, books, and required supplies/equipment). Awards amounts may be adjusted if award exceeds the cost of qualified education-related expenses.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in April.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
