The Emergency Aid Grant Fund for Student Parents provides critical financial assistance to student parents at participating community and technical colleges who are facing unexpected emergencies.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

While most eligible applicants will receive some amount of aid, awards will vary in size. Due to the nature of the study, only students who sign the data-sharing agreement will be eligible for awards. This agreement allows Scholarship America to request information from your institution about your academic persistence, such as whether you remained enrolled, re-enrolled for another term, or graduated.
Grants will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Applicants will receive written acknowledgement and/or approval of their application within one (1) business day of applying. Note: additional time may be needed at times of high volume.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Payments will be made within three (3) business days for complete and approved requests. Note: additional time may be needed at times of high volume.
Grants will be made payable directly to the students whenever possible. Recipients must select the form of payment (direct deposit or check).
