Fellowes Brands Next Gen Dependent Scholarship Program

Fellowes Brands has established a scholarship program that strives to make a difference in their people’s lives by breaking down institutional, financial, and personal non-academic barriers to create impactful, and otherwise inaccessible, opportunities for their dependents to further their education and selves.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Fellowes Brands Next Gen Dependent Scholarship Program must:

  • Be a legal dependent*, aged 25 and under, of a full-time Fellowes Brands U.S. employee with a minimum of one (1) year of employment and in good performance standing (as outlined in the Program Requirements) with the company as of the application deadline date.
*Legal dependents are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be a high school senior, a high school graduate not currently enrolled in college (gap year students are encouraged to apply) or a current college undergraduate or vocational/technical student.
When completing your Profile in the Scholarship America Hub, gap year students should select High school senior/Final year secondary student as their current grade level and vocational-technical students should select Postsecondary (university) student.
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or a one- or two-year vocational/technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent.

As this program is, in part, focused on helping to overcome financial and other personal non-academic barriers, this benefit is available for employees at the Sr. Manager and below levels. Officers, executives, senior directors and directors are ineligible.

Awards

Up to three (3) awards will be granted. One (1) award of $10,000 will be granted to a student attending a four-year college or university and two (2) awards of $2,500 will be granted to students attending a two-year college or vocational-technical school.

Awards are renewable up to three (3) years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, for students attending a four-year college or university, or up to one (1) year for students attending a two-year college or vocational-technical school, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, full-time enrollment, and continued parental employment.

The award is for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified of their application or award status in April.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Fellowes Brands. Awards are disbursed in August and made payable to the institution.
