Equitable Advisors Wealth Management Award
Equitable Holdings, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist current undergraduate students at select universities who plan to pursue a career in Finance.
Equitable Advisors Wealth Management Award
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Eligibility
Applicants to the Equitable Advisors Wealth Management Award must:
- Be current college undergraduates at one of the following universities:
- Appalachian State University — Boone, NC
- Auburn University — Auburn, AL
- Ball State University — Muncie, IN
- Clark Atlanta University — Atlanta, GA
- Georgia State University — Atlanta, GA
- Howard University — Washington, DC
- Indiana State University — Terre Haute, IN
- Indiana University Bloomington — Bloomington, IN
- Indiana Wesleyan University — Marion, IN
- John Carroll University — University Heights, OH
- Morgan State University — Baltimore, MD
- North Carolina Central University — Durham, NC
- North Carolina State University — Raleigh, NC
- Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) — University Park, PA
- SUNY Oswego (State University of New York at Oswego) — Oswego, NY
- Texas A&M University — College Station, TX
- University of California, Davis — Davis, CA
- University of Georgia — Athens, GA
- University of Maryland — College Park, MD
- University of Memphis — Memphis, TN
- University of North Carolina at Charlotte — Charlotte, NC
- University of Pittsburgh — Pittsburgh, PA
- University of Tennessee, Knoxville — Knoxville, TN
- Virginia Tech (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University) — Blacksburg, VA
- West Virginia University — Morgantown, WV
- Plan to maintain full-time enrollment at one of the eligible universities for the next semester (Spring 2027 or Fall 2027)
- Plan to pursue a career in Finance
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award. Up to 50 awards will be granted for each of two application cycles, Spring and Fall.
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each application cycle they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Awards can be used for any education-related expenses.
Notification
All applicants will be notified in late December.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Equitable Holdings, Inc. Payment is made in January.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives within the finance industry
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- Financial need
Preference will be given to applicants who clearly articulate a career pathway within the finance industry.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Equitable Holdings, Inc. play a part in the selection.
Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Requirements
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
