Entergy Community Power Scholarship Program

Customer Service is available until 3:00 pm Central Time November 1.

Entergy Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ dependents that plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Entergy Community Power Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent children of full-time Entergy employees who have a minimum of one year of full-time employment with the company as of November 3, 2025. Dependent children are defined as your unmarried children up to the age of 19, if:
    • they live with you; or
    • you claim them as dependents for federal income tax purposes; or
    • you have full or joint legal custody of them under a divorce or custody decree
  • Be high school seniors who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school no later than fall 2026 for the entire upcoming academic or vocational year.
  • Have participated in volunteer community service during the past four (4) years:
Volunteer service that qualifies for the program is time spent working on programs/activities aligned with Entergy’s program areas (i.e., education and literacy, community improvement and enrichment, healthy families, arts and culture, and environmental improvement).
Volunteer service that does NOT qualify:

    • Time spent working with any organization or program determined by Entergy as discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or national origin
    • Time spent working with political candidates or groups.
    • Activities whose sole purpose is promotion or support of a religion, faith, denomination or religious institution (i.e., Sunday School/Bible School teaching, singing in or directing a religious choir, nursery care during religious service, etc.)
    • Time spent sleeping during any overnight volunteer activity.
    • Hobbies
    • Donation of blood, hair, etc.

Up to ten (10) additional awards will be granted to students whose parent is employed by Entergy Louisiana. Up to two (2) additional awards will be granted to students whose parent is employed by Entergy Mississippi.

Up to 5 awards will be granted to students who plan to enroll in a two-year college or vocational-technical school as long as there are qualified applicants.

All applicants will be notified in late December. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
