The W.K. Kellogg Foundation has established a scholarship program to support individuals who plan to attend the Every Child Thrives Festival in Chicago but face financial barriers related to travel and lodging.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
To be considered, applicants for the Every Child Thrives Festival Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
If selected as a recipient of this scholarship, the awardee will receive support to cover airfare or Amtrak travel and lodging to attend the Every Child Thrives Festival. All airfare or Amtrak travel must be booked through the Sponsor’s designated travel agency, and lodging will be arranged on the recipient’s behalf.
The scholarship program does not provide stipends, per diem allowances, or expense reimbursements.
The scholarship program will not provide for reimbursement for independently arranged travel or lodging.
If you only require rideshare support within the City of Chicago, please contact ECTFest@wkkf.org directly.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of responses to the following essay prompts:
Priority will be given to those attending the full festival from the morning of June 23rd through the afternoon of June 25th.
Selection of recipients is made at the sole discretion of Scholarship America. Under no circumstances does any officer, staff member, or employee of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation participate in the selection process.
While we strive to support as many applicants as possible, due to limited funding, not all applicants will be able to receive a scholarship.
All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
