Dunkin’ Baltimore/Metro DC Regional Scholarship

Dunkin’ and its franchisees are committed to a strong local community. The Dunkin’ Baltimore/Metro DC Regional Scholarship Program has been established to recognize the importance of education and provide support to residents of the community and our extended corporate family. This program will award up to fifty $2,500 scholarships to qualified students throughout the region.

Dunkin’ Baltimore/Metro DC Regional Scholarship

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Dunkin’ Baltimore/Metro DC Regional Scholarship Program must:

  • Be high school seniors or current undergraduate students who plan to enroll in part-time or full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Be high school seniors or undergraduate students who are permanent residents of one of the counties or municipalities listed (can attend school at any location)
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) or higher to be eligible.

Dunkin’ full-time or part-time employees who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. Dunkin’ Crew Members must be employed by Dunkin’ for at least three months and must remain in good standing through May 1, 2026.

Students attending or planning to attend accredited two-year colleges or vocational-technical schools are also encouraged to apply.

Children/Dependents of Inspire Brands, Inc. employees are not eligible.

Franchise owners and dependents are not eligible. This includes children/dependents of any franchisee who owns 1 percent or more of any Dunkin’ store.

  • Washington DC-related counties: Washington, DC, Charles (MD), Frederick (MD), Montgomery (MD), Prince George’s (MD), St. Mary’s (MD), Washington (MD), Arlington (VA), Clarke (VA), Fairfax (VA), Frederick (VA), Loudoun (VA), Prince William (VA), Shenandoah (VA), Spotsylvania (VA), Stafford (VA), Warren (VA), Berkeley (WV), Jefferson (WV)
  • City of Alexandria (VA)
  • Baltimore-related counties: Anne Arundel (MD), Baltimore (MD), Calvert (MD), Carroll (MD), Cecil (MD), Harford (MD), Howard (MD), Kent (MD), Queen Anne’s (MD), Talbot (MD)
  • City of Baltimore (MD)

Awards

Up to 50 scholarships will be granted. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive:

  • A $2,500 award
  • Up to ten (10) of the awards shall be Dunkin’ employee awards based on qualified employee applications and up to forty (40) additional awards shall be for community non-employee applicants.
  • 25 recipients will be from Baltimore-area counties and 25 will be from DC-area counties.
  • Awards are for one year only and are not renewable.
  • Awards are one-time only, student may not receive award more than once.
  • Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

Applicants will be notified in June. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Dunkin’.  Awards will be paid in one installment in July.

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Dunkin’ play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following document:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically through the Scholarship America Student Hub.
