Kaiser Permanente has established a scholarship program to assist California students in completing their nursing education.
Since 1989, Kaiser Permanente has assisted California students in completing their nursing education through its RN Scholarship Program. In 2001, the Deloras Jones RN Scholarship Program was created in honor of Deloras Jones, RN, MN, for her 34 years of leadership and dedication to education and nursing practice at Kaiser Permanente. Awards are available for approved study at affiliate schools in Northern California.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Part-time applicants will be reviewed and considered but preference is given to students enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year as deemed by the nursing program.
Awards are for education related expenses and are one-time only. Previous recipients of this program are not eligible to apply.
Applicants will be notified in early November. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Kaiser Permanente. Payment is made in one installment for education-related expenses. The check will be made payable to the school and distributed to recipients in early December.
The evaluation and selection of recipients will be based primarily on financial need. Scholarship America will evaluate and rank all applicants by level of expected financial contribution and cumulative GPA, and Kaiser Permanente will review rankings and applications and will select recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision of Kaiser Permanente and Scholarship America as final.
