Bill Brinser Pak Scholarship
The Brinser Pak scholarship was established a for children or grandchildren of employees of Cameron Ashley Building Products, Inc. or National Insulation Contractors Exchange member companies who plan to continue their education in college.

Honoring the legacy of William K. Brinser, Jr. and his promise of giving back to those that helped him in his endeavors, our foundation awards annual merit-based post High School scholarships to willing students seeking a more profound future. Established in 2023, the Foundation was formed to provide opportunity, uphold the confidence in limitless potential and produce the next generation of the American workforce. Bill fully believed in the American Dream and created his legacy by his hard work, passion, perseverance, and commitment to those that supported him, his “Pak”, thus we have created the “Bill Brinser Pak Scholarship”.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Eligibility
Applicants to the Bill Brinser Pak Scholarship must:

- Be dependent children* or grandchildren**, age 25 and under, of full time Cameron Ashley Building Products, Inc. employees who have met their benefits eligibility start date with the company by the application deadline date***.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
**Grandchildren are children of children and do not need to be dependents of employees.
***Employees must be in good standing as of the application deadline date.
The children of Cameron Ashley Building Product employees holding the title of Vice President or above, including Regional Vice Presidents, Sales Vice Presidents, and C-level executives, are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Be dependent children* or grandchildren**, age 25 and under, of full time Cameron Ashley Building Products, Inc. employees who have met their benefits eligibility start date with the company by the application deadline date***.
OR

- Be dependent children* or grandchildren**, age 25 and under, of employees who have one year of employment with a National Insulation Contractors Exchange (NICE) member companies application deadline date***.
*Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
**Grandchildren are children of children and do not need to be dependents of employees.
***Employees and member company must be in good standing as of the application deadline date.
The children of NICE Member Company Owners are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Be dependent children* or grandchildren**, age 25 and under, of employees who have one year of employment with a National Insulation Contractors Exchange (NICE) member companies application deadline date***.
AND
- Be high school seniors, high school graduates or current college undergraduates.
- Plan to enroll in fulltime undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or vocational-technical/trade school for the entire upcoming academic year*.
*Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and must run on a standard academic semester calendar. Certification programs must be a minimum of one semester/term in length and recipients must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed in August.
Awards
Up to 3 awards will be given in the amount of $5,000 each.
- Two (2) awards are designated towards dependent’s of the Cameron Ashley Building Products, Inc. Provided there are qualified applicants, at least one (1) recipient will be selected who is attending a vocational/trade school.
- One (1) award will be designated toward a dependent of a NICE Member.
Awards are for qualified education-related expenses only (tuition, fees, books, and required supplies/equipment). Room and board is not eligible. Awards amounts may be adjusted if the award exceeds the cost of qualified education-related expenses.
Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance, full-time enrollment, and continued employment with Cameron Ashley Building Products, LLC or a NICE Member.
Awards are sent to recipients, made payable to the college or institution.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants cannot receive an award through both the Bill Brinser Pak Scholarship and the NICE Charities Scholarship Fund.
Notification
All applicants will be notified in May.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of the William K. Brinser, Jr. Foundation. Payment is made in August.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- An online recommendation
Financial need is not considered.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of the William K. Brinser, Jr. Foundation play a part in the selection.
Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Requirements
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
You will provide the following on the application:
- Academic performance.
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities.
- Work experience.
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives.
- Unusual personal or family circumstances.
Also required:
- One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than three business days after the application deadline date.
Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
