Arrow Memorial Scholarship Program
Arrow Electronics, Inc. has established a scholarship program honoring the loving memories of Arrow employees’ children who have passed away.
Eight scholarships are offered to children and step-children of current Arrow employees in the United States and Canada who are enrolled full time at an accredited college or university.
Arrow Memorial Scholarship Program
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Eligibility
Applicants of the Arrow Memorial Scholarship Program must:
- Children or stepchildren, 25 years or younger, of an active employee of Arrow Electronics, Inc. in the U.S. or Canada with two or more years of service by the application deadline date.
- A high school senior or high school graduate planning to enroll or a student already enrolled in full-time study leading to a Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
Students beginning their studies at a two-year community college who plan to transfer to a four-year school are eligible to apply.
Children and stepchildren of Senior Executives (General Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents and above) are ineligible to participate in the program.
Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award ranging from $2,000 to $5,000. Up to eight (8) awards will be granted each year.
Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements. Only one new award is granted per family in any given year.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Notification
Applicants will be notified by early May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Arrow Electronics, Inc. Payments are made in one installment in August.
Recipient’s parent must be actively employed at Arrow Electronics, Inc. at the time scholarship payments are issued.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic performance
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Honors
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- An online recommendation
Once scholarship recipients are selected, financial data is reviewed to determine the amount of each award, ranging from $2,000 to $5,000.
Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Arrow Electronics, Inc. play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
Requirements
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than three business days after the application deadline date.
Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
