Ervin J. LeCoque Leadership Scholars Program for Sons and Daughters

AptarGroup, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Ervin J. LeCoque Leadership Scholars Program for Sons and Daughters must be:

  • An eligible child* of an employee of AptarGroup or Aptar companies; the employee must work full-time and have completed at least one year of continuous employment as of the application deadline date or work part-time and work a minimum of 30 hours per week and have completed at least five years of continuous employment as of the application deadline date.
*The term “child” means natural or legally adopted children, stepchildren, and legal wards up to age 26, who are supported wholly by the parent or guardian.

Children of all retirees are ineligble.

  • High school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

Awards

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,500 award.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree or certificate is earned, whichever occurs first. Renewal is contingent upon maintaining a cumulative 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale in a full-time course of study, continued employment of the student’s parent at an AptarGroup Company, and continuation of the program by AptarGroup, Inc.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in late April.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of AptarGroup, Inc. Payment is made in early August with award checks made payable to the educational institution.
