Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Community service and volunteerism
  • An essay

At UniFirst, our core values were developed by our founder, Aldo Croatti, and are built on a “people-first” approach that delivers exceptional service through Customer Focus, Respect for Others, and Commitment to Quality. These Core Values guide how we serve, lead, and give back. We are especially interested in applicants who show initiative, responsibility, integrity, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of others.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of UniFirst Corporation play a part in the selection.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
