Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties has established scholarship programs to assist high school and college students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

CFPBMC Renewable Scholarships for First-Year College Students

Applicants to the CFPBMC Renewable Scholarships for First-Year College Students must:

    • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (applicants to provide verification through U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Green Card, Employment Authorization Document, or Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate)
    • Be a graduating high school senior or a GED holder who is:
      • attending any public or private high school in Palm Beach County or Martin County
      • OR
      • a resident of Palm Beach County or Martin County or Okeechobee County
    • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school in the United States (unless noted otherwise)
      • Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and be a minimum of one semester/term in length (or equivalent – 6-12 semester hours/credits, or equivalent), and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed
      • Part-time enrollment consists of a minimum of 6 credits per term/semester
    • Minimum 2.0 GPA (unless noted otherwise)
    • Children of Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties employees are not eligible for these awards
    • Homeschooled students are encouraged to apply

Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first, based on satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale) and part-time or full-time enrollment.

CFPBMC Renewable Scholarships for Post-Secondary Students

Applicants to the CFPBMC Renewable Scholarships for Post-Secondary Students must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (applicants to provide verification through U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Green Card, Employment Authorization Document, or Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate)
  • Be a graduating high school senior or graduate, GED holder, current undergraduate, or graduate student who is a resident of Florida
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school in the United States (unless noted otherwise)
    • Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and be a minimum of one semester/term in length (or equivalent – 6-12 semester hours/credits, or equivalent), and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed.
    • Part-time enrollment consists of a minimum of 6 credits per term/semester
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent, unweighted)
  • Children of Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties employees are not eligible for these awards

Applicants to the CFPBMC Employer Funds must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (applicants to provide verification through U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Green Card, Employment Authorization Document, or Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate)
  • Be a graduating high school senior or graduate, GED holder, current undergraduate, or graduate student who is associated with one of the following employers or groups:
    • Cascades of Delray
    • Emmanuel Deliverance Church of God (EDCOG)
    • Gunster
    • Palm Beach Kennel Club
    • Weitz Co., FL Division
    • Willoughby Golf Club
    • OR
    • Be a resident of Palm Beach County or Martin County, Florida
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school or graduate program in the United States
    • Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and be a minimum of one semester/term in length (or equivalent – 6-12 semester hours/credits, or equivalent), and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed.
    • Part-time enrollment consists of a minimum
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA (unless otherwise noted)
  • Children of Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties employees are not eligible for these awards

Applicants to the CFPBMC Single Year Awards must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (applicants to provide verification through U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Green Card, Employment Authorization Document, or Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate)
  • Be a graduating high school senior or graduate, GED holder, or current undergraduate:
    • attending any public or private high school in Palm Beach County or Martin County
    • OR
    • residing in Palm Beach County
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school in the United States (unless noted otherwise)
    • Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and be a minimum of one semester/term in length (or equivalent – 6-12 semester hours/credits, or equivalent), and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed
    • Part-time enrollment consists of a minimum of 6 credits per term/semester
  • Have a minimum 2.0 GPA (unless noted otherwise)
  • Children of Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties employees are not eligible for these awards

America’s Heroes Scholarship Fund

Applicants to the America’s Heroes Scholarship Fund must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (applicants to provide verification through U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Green Card, Employment Authorization Document, or Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate)
  • Be a dependent child or spouse of a fallen law enforcement officer
    • Applicants must provide an official letter from the Law Enforcement Agency where the officer was employed, confirming that the officer’s death occurred in the line of duty
  • Be a graduating high school senior or graduate, GED holder, current undergraduate, or graduate student (preference for high school graduating students)
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in a part-time or full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical school in the United States
    • Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and be a minimum of one semester/term in length (or equivalent – 6-12 semester hours/credits, or equivalent), and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed
    • Part-time enrollment consists of a minimum of 6 credits per term/semester
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent, unweighted)
  • Children of Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties employees are not eligible for these awards

Allison’s Gift Scholarship Program

Applicants to the Allison’s Gift Scholarship Program must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (applicants to provide verification through U.S. Birth Certificate, U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card/Green Card, Employment Authorization Document, or Naturalization or Citizenship Certificate)
  • Be a high school senior or graduate, GED holder, or current college undergraduate who has placed a child for adoption
    • Preference to birthmothers who are residents of Florida
    • Preference to birthmothers who have placed their child/children with parents who reside in Florida
    • Preference for adoption that has taken place in the past five years
  • Plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school
    • Certification programs must be through an accredited institution and be a minimum of one semester/term in length (or equivalent – 6-12 semester hours/credits, or equivalent), and applicants must be enrolled at the time awards are disbursed
    • Part-time enrollment consists of a minimum of 6 credits per term/semester
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
  • Children of Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties employees are not eligible for these awards
