Dream Award Scholar Oyuky Aragon-Flores is passionate about helping others—a passion that stems from her own sisters’ health struggles. The College of Saint Benedict student started training in high school as an Emergency Medical Technician and Certified Nursing Assistant, and today she’s pursuing a career path as a physician’s assistant, hoping to bring culturally aware care to communities like hers.

With his “third lease on life,” he started his higher education career at a California community college. Now, with help from the Dream Award, he’s pursuing a Stanford engineering degree and a career in medical device development.

Chantel Lewis-Cummings had challenges before she even entered school. Her father was killed when she was 2. In high school, Chantel helped support her family – classes in the morning and the second shift at Gulfstream Aerospace in the afternoon.
