JAN-PRO Your Family First Scholarship™ Program
JAN-PRO™ Cleaning & Disinfecting and JAN-PRO™ Commercial Cleaning have established a scholarship program to assist JAN-PRO™ Cleaning & Disinfecting and JAN-PRO™ Commercial Cleaning unit franchise owners, their spouses, children or grandchildren who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full or part-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
JAN-PRO Your Family First Scholarship™ Program
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria
- Be a JAN-PRO® Cleaning & Disinfecting or JAN-PRO® Commercial Cleaning unit franchise owner or spouse, dependent child, or grandchild of an eligible unit franchise owner. An eligible JAN-PRO® Cleaning & Disinfecting or JAN-PRO® Commercial Cleaning unit franchise owner is defined as a unit franchise owner in good standing for at least one year as of the application deadline date.
- Be high school graduates by July 31, 2026, or current postsecondary undergraduate or graduate level students.
- Plan to enroll in full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the 2027 spring semester.
Note: Employees of unit franchisees are not eligible. Regional developers, their spouses, children and regional development employees are ineligible to participate in this scholarship program.
*An eligible JAN-PRO® Cleaning & Disinfecting or JAN-PRO® Commercial Cleaning unit franchise owner is defined as a Certified Business Owner in good standing for at least one year as of the application deadline date.
Awards
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000. Awards are not renewable, but students may reapply to the program each year where they meet eligibility requirements.
Awards are for undergraduate and graduate study.
Notification
All applicants will be notified in November.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of JAN-PRO® Cleaning & Disinfecting and JAN-PRO® Commercial Cleaning. Payments are made in one installment in early 2027. A check is made payable to the student’s school and mailed to each recipient’s home address
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
- Academic record
- Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
Financial need will be considered.
Special consideration will be given to applicants who are identified as first-generation students.
Requirements
As part of your application, you must upload the following:
- A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
- Student name
- School name
- Grades
- Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.
