AIM USA Inc, has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

AIM Education Assistance Program

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the AIM Education Assistance Program must:

  • Be dependent* children, age 25 and under, of full-time American Iron & Metal (domestic) employees or be on an approved leave of absence who has a minimum of three years employment with the company as of the application deadline date.
    *Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.

OR

  • Be a sibling, nephew, niece or grandchild age 25 and under, of full-time American Iron & Metal (domestic) employees who have a minimum of three years employment with the company as of the application deadline date

AND

  • Be a US resident
  • Be high school seniors (graduating in Spring 2026) or graduates, current college undergraduates, or graduate-level students
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical school, or graduate school for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)

Children and family members of officers are ineligible.

Each eligible employee may either nominate their child or children OR nominate one (1) eligible family member for award(s) under this program. Each Eligible Employee has a one (1) lifetime nomination to be used for an eligible family member. As an example, and for greater clarity, if an eligible employee nominates their niece, then they cannot later nominate their son.

Awards

Dependent Awards:

If selected as a recipient, dependents may receive an award of up to $8,500 (USD) per academic year to be used for tuition only. If both parents work for AIM and are eligible employees, only one award, per dependent, per academic year will be granted. Awards are not renewable; however, students must reapply each year they meet eligibility requirements. Students may receive education assistance for a maximum of four years academic years. Awards are for undergraduate or graduate study only.

Other Eligible Family Members:

If selection as a recipient, siblings, nephews, nieces, or grandchildren of the Eligible Employee may receive an award of up to $5,000 (USD) per academic year to be used for tuition only. Awards are not renewable; however, students must reapply each year they meet eligibility requirements. Students may receive education assistance for a maximum of four academic years.  Awards are for undergraduate or graduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in early August.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of AIM USA Inc. Payment is made in August.

Selection of Recipients

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be granted an award.

Financial need will not be considered.

Scholarship America will verify eligibility requirements for all applicants. Eligible applicants will be approved for education assistance awards.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.
  • Itemized tuition billing statement for the upcoming academic year. Document must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Academic year
    • Costs must be itemized

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
