Fortive Scholarship Program

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor i.e., Fortive Corporation, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Fortive Scholarship Program must:

  • Be dependent* children of an active, full time employee of the Fortive corporation or its operating companies, who are in good standing as of the application deadline.
*Dependent children are defined as natural or legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates, in the final year of secondary school, or current postsecondary undergraduates who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, community college or vocational/technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Note: Previous recipients of the Fortive Scholarship will be contacted about renewing the scholarship and should not reapply.

Children of employees may not be recipients of other scholarships funded by the Fortive Corporation or one of its operating businesses.

Awards

  • If selected as a recipient, the student will receive an award of $5,000.
  • Each applicant is only eligible for one award.
  • Up to twenty (20) awards will be granted.

Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Students enrolled in a vocational program would be eligible to renew if they planned to continue enrollment to pursue an associates or bachelor’s degree. Renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance (i.e. maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent) in a full-time course of study, the employee parent remaining actively employed in good standing, and continuation of the program by Fortive.

Awards are for undergraduate study only.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
