Northrop Grumman has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who plan to continue full-time education for the entire academic year in college. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time undergraduate study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Northrop Grumman Scholarship for Employees’ Children must be:
FOR U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: Northrop Grumman National Merit and National Achievement Scholarship recipients are not eligible to receive the Northrop Grumman Scholarships for Employees’ Children. Students may receive only one scholarship from Northrop Grumman.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee and claimed as a dependent on parents’ income tax form.
**Full-time study is defined as full-time enrollment for the entire upcoming academic year.
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 USD scholarship.
Up to 125 recipients will be selected from the U.S. and up to 5 recipients will be selected from Northrop Grumman’s international locations. If there are not enough qualified applicants from the international locations, the remainder of the 5 awards will be designated to U.S. applicants.
Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree (or global equivalent) is earned, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
Applicants will be notified in mid-May. Notification is sent to the applicant’s email account provided during registration.
Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.
Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.
Recipients must return a completed Scholarship Acceptance Form to Scholarship America by the indicated deadline. Recipients must notify their college about the award.
