Nike Scholarship Fund

Nike has established a scholarship program to assist children of employees who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Eligibility

Applicants to the Nike Scholarship Fund must be:

  • Dependent* children of full-time United States employees of Nike, who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours a week and who have a minimum of one-year employment with the company as of the application deadline date. Dependent children of domestic partners are eligible under the same criteria as dependent children of employees.
*Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in the employee’s household or primarily supported by the employee.
  • Current high school seniors, high school graduates, or college undergraduates who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the United States for the upcoming academic year.

Awards

Awards are not renewable; however, students may reapply to the program each year they meet eligibility requirements.

Awards may be used for tuition and fees and are for undergraduate study only.

Nike Scholarship Awards
Awards ranging from $500.00 to $5,000.00 will be granted.

Financial need will be considered in determining the size of the award. Potential recipients who demonstrate no need will be eligible to receive an honorarium at the minimum amount.

Frank Rudy Scholarship Awards
Up to five awards of $5,000.00 each will be named for and honor Frank Rudy, the inventor of Nike Air.

Financial need will not be considered.

Notification

All applicants will be notified in June.

Notifications are sent via email. When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Please make sure to add studentsupport@scholarshipamerica.org as well as the program email address as safe senders in your email contact list.

Payment of Scholarships

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Nike. Payment is made in August.

Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • A statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • An online recommendation

One application will be used to select recipients of the Nike Scholarship Awards and the Frank Rudy Scholarship Awards. The top five applicants majoring in science or engineering at a four-year United States college or university will receive the Frank Rudy Scholarship Award. Recipients will not be eligible for a Nike Scholarship Award in the same year.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Nike play a part in the selection. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Requirements

As part of your application, you must upload the following:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Transcripts must display:
    • Student name
    • School name
    • Grades
    • Credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. If you are uploading a college transcript, those scores are not required.

One online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than April 6, 2026 3:00 PM Central Time.

Your application is not complete unless all required materials are submitted electronically.
