A scholarship program for Modern Woodmen members who are current high school seniors.
Modern Woodmen of America has established a scholarship program to assist Modern Woodmen members who are current high school seniors planning to continue their education.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to both Track 1 and Track 2 of the Modern Woodmen Scholarship Program: Competition for high school seniors must:
The program consists of two award recipient tracks. (Scholarship America will determine in which track the recipient is placed.) Authorized distributions for awards will be as follows:
All recipients must agree to allow Modern Woodmen to use their name and photo for promotional purposes, including social media. Track 1 and Track 2 recipients must agree to submit a photo of themselves that may be used for promotional purposes.
Awards are one-time only and not renewable.
Awards are for undergraduate study only.
All applicants will be notified of their status via email in April.
When setting up your account, avoid using a school or work email. Instead, use an active, personal email address that you will continue to have access to.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Modern Woodmen.
If you are selected as a recipient, your scholarship will be processed in one payment in August. Scholarship checks are payable to the college. Recipients will be provided with specific information about scholarship payments when they are notified.
Track 1:
An equal number of recipients will be chosen from each of six geographic regions.
Financial need will not be considered.
Students not selected to receive a Track 1 award will be considered for a Track 2 award.
Track 2:
Track 2 recipients will be selected by Scholarship America based on the level of volunteer service over the past two years, measured by hours.

Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.
All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

NOTE: If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately.
