Addressing The Crisis In Higher Education

A changing and challenged economy, severe disinvestment in postsecondary education by states, and rising college costs have all combined to create a higher education environment as challenging as the nation has ever seen.

That's why Scholarship America has expanded the scope of our work into the policy arena. Since 1958, we have worked directly with students, businesses, communities, colleges and foundations to empower people to fulfill their college dreams. We are the only partner working directly with communities, corporations, and individuals, with significant expertise in providing and shaping educational support programs that work.

We have distributed more than $4 billion to more than 2.4 million students throughout our history. Now, Scholarship America is working to further engage the private sector to support programs and policies that advance equity in postsecondary education. We invite you to learn more about the current crisis, explore our Public Policy Agenda and support our vital work on behalf of students.
