United Health Foundation Diversity in Health Care Scholarship

The United Health Foundation is working to advance a more diverse health workforce ready to deliver high-quality, culturally competent care to all communities. The United Health Foundation’s Diversity in Health Care Scholarship will award 325 scholarships of $3,200 to underrepresented students seeking to advance their clinical skills.

Applicants must currently hold an active license/certificate to practice in a clinical health career (e.g., as a nurse, physician assistant, clinical psychologist, or clinical social worker), and be enrolled in or planning to attend school in the upcoming academic year to complete a degree or certification to advance their current clinical credentials. Applicants will be expected to complete the certification, license, or degree within two years.

Awards will be given to historically underrepresented students, including those who identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, and Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander. Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in full-time or part-time study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, vocational-technical or graduate school, starting in Fall 2024.
