Howard Hughes Scholarship Program
Howard Hughes creates vibrant, award-winning communities where people can live their best lives. To support generations to come, the Howard Hughes Scholarship Program will award three renewable $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors residing in or around one of their communities in the following regions:
- Texas (Montgomery and Harris County)
- Maryland (Howard County)
- Nevada (Clark County)
- Hawai’i (Honolulu County)
- Arizona (Maricopa County)
Applicants must plan to enroll in fulltime undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year, have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), and pursue a major in one of the following fields: Business, Real Estate, Accounting, Architecture, Marketing/Digital, Finance/Economics, Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), Technology, Human Resources, or Communication.
The scholarship is renewable for up to three more years or until a bachelor’s degree is completed, whichever comes first. Recipients do not need to continue residing in an eligible area after receiving their award.
