To Our Partners:
The COVID‐19 public health emergency is affecting virtually every individual, business and nonprofit around the world. At Scholarship America, we are carefully monitoring daily updates to ensure the safety of our people and to continue serving students in this time of uncertainty.
I’m writing today to let you know where things stand, and what we can expect going forward.
As of today, Scholarship America’s offices in Minneapolis and Saint Peter, MN will remain open; however, we are mobilizing to allow staff to work remotely if needed. With schools closing across Minnesota, many members of our team face family obligations that require them to work from home, and we are happy to offer this flexibility.
If it becomes necessary, we are prepared to mobilize contingency plans for large‐scale remote work, and we are identifying key point people and backup/support staff for time‐sensitive tasks. Our employees’ health and safety is our first priority, and we are also committed to ensuring your program runs smoothly and your students get the support they need.
To that end, we are hard at work to ensure students affected by school closures or limited campus accessibility will not experience funding delays or difficulties. A centralized team is meeting on a daily basis to stay updated on student impacts and to provide solutions as questions arise. If your program’s deadline is coming up soon, you’ll be hearing from us about options shortly. We will also be providing regular updates as warranted by the changing situation.
Now, more than ever, students are relying on us. At Scholarship America, we are standing ready to provide fast, flexible student support. Every one of our partner scholarship programs is unique, and we know there’s no one-size-fits-all solution, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch and work through any questions you may have.
Thanks for all you do on behalf of students. Stay healthy and safe,
Robert C. Ballard
