Scholarship America ATV Drawing Rules & Regulations


The Scholarship America Polaris Ranger XP ® 900 EPS Hunter Edition Drawing to benefit Scholarship America (“Drawing”) is sponsored by Scholarship America (“Sponsor”), a tax-exempt, non-profit charitable and educational organization which the IRS permits to operate as a public charity, through a generous donation from Itron, Inc. This is a charitable raffle conducted for the sole benefit of Scholarship America in accordance with the Texas Charitable Raffle Law.


Entries may be obtained only during the American Gas Association Operations Conference & Exhibition being held starting May 19, 2015, in Grapevine, TX. in accordance with these rules. The Drawing is open to residents of the fifty (50) United States and its territories. Itron Inc., American Gas Association, and Scholarship America employees, officers, and directors; affiliates; advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies; and legal advisors, and their collective immediate family members and persons living in the same household, are not eligible to participate in the Drawing. Void where prohibited. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

Net Proceeds

All net proceeds of the drawing benefit the Sponsor, Scholarship America. Scholarship America’s purpose is to mobilize America, through scholarships and educational support, to make postsecondary success possible for all students.


There is one (1) grand prize to be awarded. The grand prize consists of a Polaris Ranger XP ® 900 EPS Hunter Edition. The approximate value of the prize is US$ 20,000. No alternative prize, cash equivalent, or other substitution will be provided. The winner shall collect the prize from the Polaris dealership and take title directly from the dealer. All federal, state, and or local taxes, including vehicle registration taxes and fees, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Winner Releases

Winner may be required to sign and return a release of liability, declaration of eligibility, and, where lawful, a publicity agreement, in connection with accepting the prize, all within 14 days of notification. By accepting and/or using the prize, winner agrees to the use of his or her name, for the purpose of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize, or fails to timely return the completed and executed affidavit and releases as required, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.


By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Rules & Regulations and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final and non-appealable. Sponsor, agents, and representatives of Sponsor; affiliates; advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies; and legal advisors, are not responsible for and shall not be liable for (i) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the Drawing to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance or possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the Drawing, or (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Drawing. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend this Drawing at any time if a computer virus, bug, cyber-vandal, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper play of the Drawing.

By Participating In The Drawing

By entering the Drawing and/or accepting the prize participants agree to release and hold Sponsor and the employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of Sponsor; affiliates; advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies; and legal advisors, harmless from any kind of losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Drawing or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

Winner Identification and Rules & Regulations

To obtain the name of the Drawing winner send a request along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope (Washington and Vermont residents may omit postage) to: Marian V. Marchese, Director, Strategic Alliances, Scholarship America, P.O. Box 326, Narberth, PA 19072 on or before October 1, 2015. To obtain a copy of these Rules & Regulations send a self-addressed, stamped envelope (Washington and Vermont residents may omit postage) to the address mentioned above.

How To Enter

Raffle tickets are $50 per ticket. Individual tickets will be supplied for each entry. Entries will be available during the AGA Operations Conference. Limit 10 entries per person and the total number of entries for the drawing is 900.

The Prize, Date, Time, Odds of Winning And Place Of The Drawing

Sponsor will select the winner by random drawing from all eligible entries for the winner of the one (1) Ranger XP ® 900 EPS Hunter Edition on May 20, 2015, at the AGA Operations Conference, at 6PM CST. The drawing winner does not have the right to substitute cash for the prize. All decisions as to the winner will be made by Sponsor or Sponsor’s authorized representative and are final, binding and nonappealable. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of entries, but estimated to be 1 in 900. The winner will not need to be present to win. If the winner is not present during the drawing, the winner will be notified by fax, e-mail, telephone, or regular mail. Sponsor is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winner.

Governing Law

The Raffle and these Official Rules shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If a court of competent jurisdiction finds that any provision of these Official Rules, or their application to a particular persons or circumstances, is invalid or unenforceable to any extent, then the remainder of these Official Rules, and the application of all of these Official Rules to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected by that determination, and shall remain enforceable to the fullest extent.
