Allegheny College

Pennsylvania

A national liberal arts college of 1,800 students, Allegheny attracts students with interests, skills, and talents that are varied. One reason Allegheny is a perfect fit for them is that our students select a major and minor that are in distinct disciplines. We’re proud of our 540-acre campus and cutting-edge facilities, and we know that our professors are leading scholars who pride themselves even more on being among the best teachers in the nation. But it’s our students who make Allegheny the unique place that it is. Coming from 47 states and 70 other countries, our students find an abiding passion for learning and life, a spirit of camaraderie and shared inquiry that spans across individuals as well as our 49 programs of study, over 120 student-led organizations, and 23 Division III varsity sports teams. The result? Our graduates are accepted into law and medical school at a rate twice the national average, and 95 percent of Allegheny students who began their careers following graduation were employed within six months. They enjoy careers that challenge them and lives that are interesting and full.
