An Evening with Scholarship America: November 2, 2023 Investing in students.
Above all else.

An Evening with Scholarship America

On November 2, Scholarship America is engaging a select group of executives, philanthropists and education supporters for An Evening with Scholarship America, held in the Grand Ballroom and private restaurant on the 100th floor of Central Park Tower and featuring a keynote conversation with #1 New York Times bestselling author, advocate and public health expert Chelsea Clinton, moderated by journalist and author Raakhee Mirchandani.

About Dr. Clinton

As vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, Dr. Clinton provides vision and expertise to flagship programs like the Clinton Global Initiative, a model for public-private partnerships to address today’s most pressing challenges; Too Small to Fail, which supports families with critical resources to promote early brain and language development; and the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), a global program that empowers student leaders to turn their ideas into action.

Dr. Clinton also serves as the vice chair of the Clinton Health Access Initiative, which has helped over 21 million people in more than 70 countries access critical HIV/AIDS medications, and works across more than 125 countries around the world to build and strengthen sustainable health systems.

About our Moderator

Raakhee Mirchandani is a journalist, children’s book author, activist and mom. Previously a feature writer and columnist for the New York Post, a managing editor at the New York Daily News and associate editor at the Boston Herald, Raakhee is also the author of She Persisted: Kalpana Chawla, the most recent chapter book in the series inspired by Chelsea Clinton and Alexandra Boiger’s She Persisted.

About the Evening

In addition to the conversation with Dr. Clinton, our guests will experience a specially curated menu of small plates by Michelin-starred talent including Chefs Alfred Portale, Laurent Tourondel and Gabriel Kreuther. Culinary delights will be paired with a cocktail experience like no other from Ramona Jackson, award-winning mixologist and owner of the Bourbon Bohemian.

The purpose of the evening is to invigorate our community and introduce new supporters to Scholarship America’s mission: eliminating barriers to educational success so that any student can pursue their dream. We are raising funds to make a life-changing impact on students, especially those from traditionally underserved communities who face high financial need.
