The Network Administrator designs, implements and supports the core IT infrastructure including servers, networks, virtualization, storage, data center and PCs. The focus for this position will be on IT security as well as general network administration.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports and configures hardware including Windows and Linux servers, Local and SAN Storage, Switches and Firewalls
- Assists the Infrastructure Manager in security design and implementation of our systems and networks
- Creates and maintains detailed and current documentation on infrastructure and security architecture
- Performs vulnerability testing
- Monitors and responds to threats
- Assists (backs up) our Cloud Ops administrator as needed with public cloud environments
- Participates in the design of the infrastructure and helps lead projects to completion
- Seeks continuous improvement opportunities to streamline business or IT functions and build standardization into the environment
- Monitors system performance and recommends improvements/optimizations proactively
- Assists in the creation of standards and processes to support organizational wide policies
- Manages and fulfills helpdesk requests
- Participation in an on-call rotation with onsite responsibilities with onsite responsibilities based on incident escalation
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, Linux systems including Red Hat Enterprise 7, Debian 10 and Ubuntu Server 16, and knowledge of interaction and interoperability with desktop operating systems variations, version control, and system patching for security measures
- Experience configuring and manage Dell and HP switches
- Experience working with firewalls
- Patch management experience
- Experience with virtualization and physical servers, scalability strategies, fixing security vulnerabilities (CVE), working with a centralized anti-virus system and mass deploying software
- Experience with shell and batch scripting as well as an understanding of automation principles
- Experience with management of a LAMP stack, IIS with the .Net framework and the ability to administer web applications
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange/Outlook
- Computer proficiency in MS Office tool suite of products
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, effectively and cooperatively with other people with solutions based approach
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail in order to produce the highest quality work, including follow up and follow through
- Ability to analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
- Regular & timely attendance to support business & client needs
- Aptitude to review logs, monitor dashboards and troubleshoot issues
- 2+ years in IT systems administration

- Security certifications:
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Office 365\Azure
- AWS
- Various database servers (SQL Server, PostGresSQL , MySQL , MongoDB or Oracle)
- VOIP systems.
- Knowledge of Dell, HP and Meraki Systems
- Experience with load balancers
- Bachelor’s degree in IT related concentration
