SMS makes it easy and efficient for corporations, foundations and individuals to provide for the education-based financial needs of employees and students in the communities where they live and serve
SMS provides superior customer service; our customized approach to meeting client needs has earned us exceptional loyalty in the market—our first customer is still a customer today. In addition, our service platform includes high-tech, customized web solutions and comprehensive international capabilities. We touch students in nearly 80 countries. SMS helps achieve Scholarship America's mission by providing services to clients, who in turn enable students to achieve their educational goals.
Between 1976 and 2010, more than one million students have received nearly $2 billion in scholarship assistance through programs managed by SMS. During that time, the average individual scholarship has grown from less than $500 to $2,221. Visit scholarshipmanagement.org to learn more and contact SMS about your program needs.
Keeping Dreams Alive
Scholarship America's Dreamkeepers program provides emergency financial assistance to students at community colleges across the country who are faced with unexpected financial crises. These awards -- averaging $500 -- often make the difference between staying in school and dropping out.
Katie Couric Gives Back
All profits from Couric's new book, "The Best Advice I Ever Got," will be donated to Scholarship America, the charity selected by Couric, to further the mission of ensuring education beyond high school for all students.
Our Strategic Plan
2012-2025
Our mission is to make postsecondary education possible for all students; our goal is to assist 750,000 students in completing their education beyond high school by 2025. Our CEO, Lauren Segal, outlines the plan in this video.
