The Talbots Scholarship Foundation Celebrates Grace, Confidence and Wisdom
Support America's Students The Talbots Charitable Foundation's scholarship program was created to support those women ready to start a new chapter and
pursue a college degree later in life. The program is managed by Scholarship America, and awarded $180,000 in college scholarships for the 2011 academic year; since its inception in 1997, Talbots has awarded over $1 million in scholarships.
"We embrace the grace, confidence, and wisdom of the Talbots scholarship recipients, past and future, and look forward to many years of making dreams come true and helping women live richer, fuller lives," said Trudy Sullivan, CEO of Talbots. We invite you to learn more about the program and meet some of those recipients in the video above.
Keeping Dreams Alive
Scholarship America's Dreamkeepers program provides emergency financial assistance to students at community colleges across the country who are faced with unexpected financial crises. These awards -- averaging $500 -- often make the difference between staying in school and dropping out.
Our Strategic Plan
2012-2025
Our mission is to make postsecondary education possible for all students; our goal is to assist 750,000 students in completing their education beyond high school by 2025. Our CEO, Lauren Segal, outlines the plan in this video.
A Dollar A Day
Nearly 1/4 of the U.S. population owes a collective $700 billion in student loan debt. We are committed to helping more students graduate from college with less debt. A gift of just $1 a day -- for a week, for a month, or for a year -- can help ensure that students are able to achieve their goals.
