Scholarship America Selects Mimi Larson to Lead Strategic Branding and Marketing Efforts

mimi larsonScholarship America is pleased to announce that Mimi Larson has joined the organization as vice president of strategic marketing and branding. Larson, who joined the organization on March 1, brings nearly 20 years of marketing and communications leadership to Scholarship America.

“The leadership, expertise and creativity Mimi has demonstrated throughout her impressive career will help advance the mission of Scholarship America,” said Lauren A. Segal, President & CEO of Scholarship America. “Under Mimi’s leadership, we expect to expand our marketing and branding efforts; her experience will help Scholarship America continue to build its reputation and position as the nation’s premier scholarship and educational support organization.”

“I am honored to join an organization committed to increasing access to, and completion of, college education for deserving students across the nation, especially at a time when it’s clear that education is the most critical asset for our shared future success,” said Larson.

Prior to her appointment as vice president of strategic marketing and branding for Scholarship America, Larson served as vice president of marketing for Greater Twin Cities United Way. Larson also currently serves as a volunteer in the community through Leadership Saint Paul, among other organizations, and is a trustee for Visitation School. She has spoken publicly on a number of topics for the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, Navigate Forward Executive Forum and Carlson School of Management, including Donor Segmentation, Social Media and Online Strategy and Marketing Strategy.
