Seven graduating seniors from Owatonna area high schools were presented with awards this year by the Gisle A. Johnson and Eva M. Johnson Education Fund.

The Johnsons established the scholarship program in 1991 to help young people from Owatonna continue their postsecondary education. Nearly $866,000 has been awarded to local students since the program’s inception. Awards are part scholarship and part loan, which remains interest-free while the student is attending college.

This year’s recipients, all from Owatonna, are David Bulger, Beth Anne Card, James Ebeling, Laura Lyons, Rebecca Rasp, Laura Satterlund, and Alyssa Schutter.

The Gisle A. Johnson and Eva M. Johnson Education Fund is administered by Scholarship Management Services®, a program of Scholarship America®.
