The Gisle A. Johnson and Eva M. Johnson Education Fund presented ten awards this year to graduating seniors from Owatonna area high schools, distributing a total of $15,000 in scholarship money.

The Johnsons established the scholarship program in 1991 to help young people from Owatonna continue their postsecondary education. Since the Fund’s inception, more than $846,400 has been awarded to local students. The awards are a combination scholarship grant and loan, with the loaned portion remaining interest-free while the student is attending school.

This year’s recipients are Kayla Joachim from Claremont, Minn., and David Bulger, Amy Chatelaine, James Ebeling, Laurel Greiner, Kristi Hassing, Eric Muchow, Rebecca, Rasp, Laura Satterlund, and Alyssa Schutter from Owatonna, Minn.

The Gisle A. Johnson and Eva M. Johnson Education Fund is administered by Scholarship Management Services®, a program of Scholarship America®.
